Eicher Engineering Components (EEC) is the automotive component division of VECV (VE Commercial Vehicles Limited), a Volvo Group and Eicher Motors joint venture. EEC came into existence in 1992 in a take-over from Ramon & Demm, Thane. Ramon & Demm plant was originally set up in 1964 in technical collaboration with "Fratelli Daldi & Matteucci" of Italy - the makers of the famed "DEMM" brand gears - and it was the first gear manufacturing facility in the auto-ancillary sector in India. In the ensuing years, EEC has grown from strength to strength and is a leader in the field today. The company has achieved excellence in manufacturing Power-train components (Differential Gears, Transmission Gears & Shafts) and Gear Boxes for a worldwide clientele both in OEMs and spare part market. In recent years, the group has continually invested in innovation, technology and expansion. As a result, the units continue to expand their capacities and efficiency, while adhering to their core principal of quality and manufacturing excellence.
